Earth’s equator is an enormous circle; it is
24,901.5 miles in length. Can you imagine a perfect circle that many miles
long? One name that has been given to the equator is the, (Great Circle). That circle
runs along a sphere that cuts it into two equal halves. It is always spinning
on its axis at 1,000 miles per hour. It is a good thing we have gravity or,
well we do not want to think about that one.
We know that everyone likes a certain time of the
year. Most of us like the fall season most of all; each of us has our favorite.
However, all those who live close to the equator must like it hot all the time.
Near the equator there is basically one season-permanent summer. There is just
so much information about the equator and all that goes along with it; we could
never begin to tell you. We just wanted to point out that God is so precise
about His creation that every planet spins and stays in its own orbit right
where He put them.
