Storms truly are attention getters. The way the
atmosphere changes, the air cools, and the wind changes direction seemingly on
a dime, then the rain comes down in such white sheets you can hardly see in
front of you. It makes you wonder where all that water comes from, well we can
say this when all that rain falls and runs into the rivers and streams it makes
its way back to the sea. There it will start it journey all over again.
Clouds are really great. They can pull moisture up from any body of water, plus out of the sky around them. Then when they are too full, it rains. Wondering how? Its simple God balances it all. He knows who needs rain and who does not. When areas get too much rain and it floods, it is not His fault that people built so much by the waters edges. In a sense, we have caused the flooding problem with all the concrete, not Him. So next time you want to blame God think about what we have done to His creation.
And by His understanding He breaks up the storm.
Psalm 107:25 (NKJV)
29. He calms the storm,
So that its waves are still.
Nahum 1:3 (NKJV)
3. The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.
The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
