Flowers in Bloom

When He spoke the plants began to form beautiful flowers.

I would like you to think of the first thing that comes to your mind when I mention the word, FLOWERS. Is your thought about flowers that are given for an anniversary or birthday, maybe to someone to get well or even to send your sympathy for someone’s lose. Maybe it is about how beautiful they look and their smells. In addition, we all know that not all flowers smell good but at the same time, they might be very beautiful with no fragrance.

Do you ever wonder how so many flowers came to be on the earth? Some of course were cross-pollinated by humans but bees pollinate most all flowers. If you never saw the movie, “The Bee Movie” you know what I am talking about. If you have not seen it, I will not be the one to spoil it for you. You just have to see it for yourself.

What I am getting to is God created all the flowers here on earth and I imagine there will be many more colors and kinds of flowers in Heaven. We probably cannot even fathom how many kinds there will be. I want to leave you with this last thought, “Stop to smell the roses”. It will help to slow you down and calm the stresses in your life. Enjoy the flowers around you. You can buy a bunch or even pick a few and put them in a vase inside. It might help to bring the outdoors into wherever you spend the most time. Remember they are a gift from God to our sight and smell.

Numbers 17:8 (NKJV)
8. Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.

Song of Solomon 2:1 (NKJV)
2. I am the rose of Sharon,
And the lily of the valleys.

Song of Solomon 2:12 (NKJV)
12. The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.

Isaiah 35:1 (NKJV)
35. The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

Isaiah 40:6-8 (NKJV)
6. The voice said, “Cry out!”
And he[a] said, “What shall I cry?”
“All flesh is grass,
And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
7. The grass withers, the flower fades,
Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass.
8. The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.”

Luke 21:30 (NKJV)
30. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.
