Time for planting and harvesting

When He spoke the seeds stared to fall to the ground, and grow.

Planting and harvesting is a way of life for many people. It is their job and livelihood but for others it is just for enjoyment. They work in our orchards, vineyards, groves and fields. And we should be extremely grateful for the jobs they do so we can have food on our tables. Most are immigrants and I know if it weren't for them food would not be harvested. Thank you, I appreciate you.

Could you imagine how our ancestors had to plant, grow, and harvest their food without all the heavy, comfortable, air conditioned, and fast machinery we have today. And even with all the technology we have it is still back breaking work especially when the harvest is ready and you or your workers have to hand pick it. Not all harvesting can be done with machines. It has to be done the old-fashioned way. I think we forget sometimes that our food does not just appear in the grocery stores. It does take many people and a lot of work to get it there. So we should all be very grateful for those who get all of our food to the market to make our lives easier. There have been times over the centuries those farmer’s fields have not been harvested due to being destroyed by weather or insects. And it was a total lose.

If you have never tried to plant, some seeds or you do not have a yard to plant a garden you can grow your seeds in a planter. You can buy flower seeds, herb seeds, and vegetable seeds. Once you see those little green sprouts coming up through the soil, reaching for the sunshine you will be hooked. The last thing I want to leave you with is just think of how long some of our fruit, veggies and herbs have been around if they were talking about them in the Bible during the time of Moses. And I am sure that those fruits, veggies and herbs have been around a lot longer than that. Happy planting!

Genesis 8:22 (NKJV)
22. “While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”

Genesis 30:14 (NKJV)
14. Now Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son’s mandrakes.”

Leviticus 23:22 (NKJV)
22. When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not wholly reap the corners of your field when you reap, nor shall you gather any gleaning from your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the Lord your God.”

Numbers 11:5 (NKJV)
5. We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic;

Numbers 13:23 (NKJV)
23. Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs.

Ruth 1:22 (NKJV)
22. So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.

Nehemiah 9:25 (NKJV)
25. And they took strong cities and a rich land,
And possessed houses full of all goods,
Cisterns already dug, vineyards, olive groves,
And fruit trees in abundance.
So they ate and were filled and grew fat,
And delighted themselves in Your great goodness.

Song of Solomon 4:13 (NKJV)
13. Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates
With pleasant fruits,
Fragrant henna with spikenard,

Ecclesiastes 2:5 (NKJV)
I5. I made myself gardens and orchards, and I planted all kinds of fruit trees in them.

Isaiah 9:3 (NKJV)
3. You have multiplied the nation
And increased its joy;
They rejoice before You
According to the joy of harvest,
As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

Jeremiah 29:5 (NKJV)
5. Build houses and dwell in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit.

Joel 1:10-11(NKJV)
10. The field is wasted,
The land mourns;
For the grain is ruined,
The new wine is dried up,
The oil fails.
11. Be ashamed, you farmers,
Wail, you vinedressers,
For the wheat and the barley;
Because the harvest of the field has perished.

Mark 4:29 (NKJV)
29. But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

Flowers in Bloom

When He spoke the plants began to form beautiful flowers.

I would like you to think of the first thing that comes to your mind when I mention the word, FLOWERS. Is your thought about flowers that are given for an anniversary or birthday, maybe to someone to get well or even to send your sympathy for someone’s lose. Maybe it is about how beautiful they look and their smells. In addition, we all know that not all flowers smell good but at the same time, they might be very beautiful with no fragrance.

Do you ever wonder how so many flowers came to be on the earth? Some of course were cross-pollinated by humans but bees pollinate most all flowers. If you never saw the movie, “The Bee Movie” you know what I am talking about. If you have not seen it, I will not be the one to spoil it for you. You just have to see it for yourself.

What I am getting to is God created all the flowers here on earth and I imagine there will be many more colors and kinds of flowers in Heaven. We probably cannot even fathom how many kinds there will be. I want to leave you with this last thought, “Stop to smell the roses”. It will help to slow you down and calm the stresses in your life. Enjoy the flowers around you. You can buy a bunch or even pick a few and put them in a vase inside. It might help to bring the outdoors into wherever you spend the most time. Remember they are a gift from God to our sight and smell.

Numbers 17:8 (NKJV)
8. Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds.

Song of Solomon 2:1 (NKJV)
2. I am the rose of Sharon,
And the lily of the valleys.

Song of Solomon 2:12 (NKJV)
12. The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.

Isaiah 35:1 (NKJV)
35. The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;

Isaiah 40:6-8 (NKJV)
6. The voice said, “Cry out!”
And he[a] said, “What shall I cry?”
“All flesh is grass,
And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.
7. The grass withers, the flower fades,
Because the breath of the Lord blows upon it;
Surely the people are grass.
8. The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.”

Luke 21:30 (NKJV)
30. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near.

Created in His image

When He spoke man was formed from the dust.

Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)
26. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man was created to be in fellowship with God yet man decided to live in his sin. Moreover, the sin that we all have in our lives was because, (Lucifer, Satan, The Devil) decided he was greater then God and his pride made him fall from Heaven. (Isaiah 14:12-17)
However, God was willing to forgive them instead of destroying man like the one He did in the flood (Genesis Chapters 6-9). However, man continued to err and become separated from God. In addition, the vastness of that separation was huge that kept us from Him.
The day came when God wanted to deliver man from sin and destruction for the last time so, He made a way to receive eternal life through His son, Jesus Christ. The word of God- the Bible says in,
John 3:16 (NKJV)
6 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
~If you don’t know for certain that you possess eternal life once you die and leave this world. You can have it by simply believing that Jesus died for your sins and as He did for ours. You see God did not create sin mankind created sin by disobeying God’s rule in the Garden of Eden.
Genesis 2:16-17 (NKJV)
16. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
Genesis 3:4-6 (NKJV)
4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.
5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
~Then we all were born with that sin and will have that sin in our lives until we die. That is unless we ask Christ Jesus to forgive us and take it away. Jesus’ death and shedding of blood is the only thing that can save us from an eternity of Hell.
Just click on the link below and it will take you to a page that will help you through the steps to becoming a child of God’s. And when you make that choice, all of Heaven will be rejoicing and having a celebration just for you. We as Born Again Believer’s in Christ have a commission to reach as many souls as we can for Christ. We would like to assist you in finding how you can receive the FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE. Please do not wait for now is the time for Salvation!
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 (NKJV)
20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NKJV)
1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.
2 For He says:
               “In an acceptable time I have heard you,
                And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
                Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Designer Tress
When He spoke trees of every size, shape and color were created.
Do you often wonder why there are so many different types of trees on the earth and how come some grow in some parts of the world and not in others? Well it’s due to the climate and soil but the best answer is because God chose to put them where He wanted. As time went on of course people started to choose where to put them.
There are so many more types of trees now a day because people have figured out how to graft different types of trees together. They probably never knew while they were thinking up all this great new growing technology that God had already had the idea. The tree of life, will grow twelve fruits.  Each tree growing new fruit every month.
There is no one on the earth that can make that happen. It is just one of the many secrets that will never be known on earth. Trees are for shade, food, building objects and so many other things. However, there is one thing we all must do and that is stop wasting and destroying what we have in our forests. Trees are so valuable for all of us and we need to replace at least one tree in our lifetime. We are not saying be tree-huggers but just appreciate what is taken for granted. They do give us the air we breathe!
Genesis 2:9 (NKJV)
Tree of Life & Tree of Knowledge
9. And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
That God may listen to you!
8. “The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them.
And they said to the olive tree,
Reign over us!’
9. But the olive tree said to them,
Should I cease giving my oil,
With which they honor God and men,
And go to sway over trees?’
10. “Then the trees said to the fig tree,
You come and reign over us!’
11. But the fig tree said to them,
Should I cease my sweetness and my good fruit,
And go to sway over trees?’
12. “Then the trees said to the vine,
You come and reign over us!’
13. But the vine said to them,
Should I cease my new wine,
Which cheers both God and men,
And go to sway over trees?’
14. “Then all the trees said to the bramble,
You come and reign over us!’
15. And the bramble said to the trees,
If in truth you anoint me as king over you,
Then come and take shelter in my shade;
But if not, let fire come out of the bramble
And devour the cedars of Lebanon!’
I Samuel 22:6 (NKJV) Tamarisk Tree
Naming the Animals
When He spoke the animals were created and given names.
Can you believe that God took the time to skillfully and loving create all the animals, birds, fish and even the things that creep and crawl on the ground. I do not think we can fully imagine what those might have been, maybe snails, lizards, frogs and of course snakes. It would have been the most awesome privilege to name all the creatures that God formed out of the ground. Just think the animals did not eat each other, they were calm and Adam was not afraid, he petted them and they followed him around. It would have been like having your own personal petting zoo. How cool would that have been?
I know we all have heard the saying, Ashes to Ashes and Dust-to-Dust but I finally got the real meaning of that from God’s word. We are all formed from the earth and there we will return. After God created all the animals, He brought them to Adam to be named (just a side note it really does not say how long it took to name the animals or if God brought more than one at a time).
All was going good until Adam realized that he had no one like himself, Adam wanted a helper so he was given a wife. That is when something happened to change the course of history for humankind. All because once Adam was done naming everything that was four legged, flew in the sky, swam in water, and crawled, he wanted someone there with him in the flesh. God was there with him at all times and talked to him. It is very important to know that even if you are married or you are not God is the one and only helper you need in a marriage or out of a marriage. God is always there to help and He does not grumble or complain about helping either. He is always there.
Genesis 1:24-25 (NKJV)
24. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.
25. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 2:19-20 (NKJV)
19. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
20. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
His, Greatest Creation
When He spoke all of us were formed.
A loving God created us humans and we did not come from a slimy thing that crawled out of the water nor did we evolve from apes. Yes, we have a striking resemblance to them and our actions are really remarkably the same but we did not come from that species. We are a one of a kind creation.
God himself knew that the earth and animals needed someone to care for everything and even enjoy them. God took dust and dirt from the earth and created a man. Can you picture it? That is a miracle then on top of that, He made a woman out of one of the man’s rib.
God has so much creativity it blows the mind. God gave man his first breath, how awesome that would have been. It is kind of like God giving him CPR with one breath that man became a living being. So next time you are people watching like we all do, think of how God made us all individuals, our own personalities, and looks. A creator wonderfully created us all. We are like nothing else God created, so we are very special to Him. We were created to be His and be with Him.
Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)
26. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
Genesis 2:7 (NKJV)
7. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
Genesis 2:18-23 (NKJV)
18. And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
19. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
20. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
21. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23. And Adam said:
“This is now bone of my bones
And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman,
Because she was taken out of Man.”
Psalm 139:13-14 (NKJV)
13. For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
First Gardener, Ever
When He spoke the most perfect garden was formed.
Can you believe the first gardener ever was God? He could have put any kind of plants, flowers, and trees in this garden. It would have been perfect. No insects to eat up the leaves or to be pests. I would imagine there were colors in this garden we have never seen or thought about. Just think God planting a garden, it’s an awesome thought and He even grew herbs. There were birds in His garden as well.
Even if you have a small garden in your yard or you may have a big beautiful one God’s garden would have been much more wonderful then anything we could ever plant. We could try our best and still not have a garden like His but we can imagine what it was like, so use your creative minds and wonder how it must have looked. It would have been completely beyond our comprehension.
Genesis 1:29-30 (NKJV)
29. And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.
Genesis 2:4-6 (NKJV)
4. This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,
5. before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground;
6. but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.
Genesis 2:8-10 (NKJV)
8. The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. 9 And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 1:29-30 (NKJV)
29. And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.
Genesis 2:4-6 (NKJV)
4. This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; 6 but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground
Genesis 2:8-9 (NKJV)
8. The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
9. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
New Heavens and a New Earth
When He spoke He created an everlasting home for His children.
I’m going to get right to the point on this subject and try to convey to you the importance of knowing about the new heaven’s and a new earth. They will be replacing the ones we know and live in now. I often think about the earth and how it must feel being abused and neglected for so many years. Though all these things are happening on the earth now they will not be when it all becomes new. And all that space junk you hear about, it will all be gone.
The only way anyone, any age, any race, any gender can see this new earth, and its heaven’s is to have a relationship with Jesus. He must forgive you of your sins. Jesus is coming one day, not when someone else says so, but when God, his father tells him to come and get His children. The whole point of not knowing when is because then you cannot at the last minute say, “Jesus, forgive me.” You may not have the time to do that. You have to believe, trust, and live for Him until He returns.
Isaiah 65:17 (NKJV)
17.  For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.
Matthew 24:35 NKJV)
35. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will
by no means pass away.
Matthew 24:36-44 (NKJV)
36. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
37. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
38. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39. and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
42. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
44. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
2 Peter 3:13 (NKJV)
13. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
Revelation 21:1 (NKJV)
1. Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
~Please take what is being said seriously and as truth. He wants everyone with Him. However, there will be those who will not make that choice. And I cannot even fathom what it will be like for them where they are going. Ask yourself this one question. Is it so hard to give up some petty earthly things now for all that Jesus has to offer in this new Heaven and Earth? Wouldn’t you want to reserve a place for yourself and your family?
Matthew 24:36-44 (NKJV)
36. “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels
of heaven, but My Father only.
37. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the
Son of Man be.
38. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
39. and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also
will the coming of the Son of Man be.
40. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.
41. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
42. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the
thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be
broken into.
44. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you
do not expect.
II Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
